I wanted to share how we at Capra offer a unique approach to leadership through our Leadership as a Platform model.
Leadership as a Platform
At Capra we have a Team First approach to our operation. We do have roles, but they are a part of a team. We view leadership not just as a series of management tasks or a role you have, but rather as something anyone can do. Take leadership.
To make make sure everyone are enabled to take leadership, and that we are aligned, we have a team that offers alignment and leadership as a platform. The team is called Team Alignment work as a platform team to offer the services. (The team name would be "Common Direction" if directly translated from Norwegian. Team Alignment flows better in English, so we'll use that here.)
The services are designed to empower our teams and people to take lead, and drive alignment.

- Service-Oriented: We treat leadership activities as services, not tasks. Thinking this way forces us to make all information accessible, and we actively onboard and assist teams in understanding our strategic direction.
- Team Responsibility: Delivering these services is a collective responsibility, fostering a collaborative environment. As opposed to a manager only responsibility.

- Accessible to everyone through Notion, our strategy deck outlines:
- Who we are: our vision, values, and what we do.
- Our product, what we sell
- Our current market understanding
- What we belive are to be our key challenges for continued success
- Guiding policies and priorities that we think will drive our success in solving those challenges
- Principles of our organizational model.
- This deck is continuously updated to reflect our evolving strategies. We do not do version numbering etc., it's always in production since it's always ready to use.
- Metrics Board:
- We provide a metrics board in Looker Studio, offering insights into our goals, performance and progress.
- Monthly Status and Q&A Sessions:
- These sessions cover economics, metrics, and priorities, providing a transparent view of our organization’s status.
- Map of organization:
- We maintain a set of principles for our team first organizational model, and a dynamic perspective of our organizational structure and operations. It's offered through a Miro-board.
- We also help people maneuver the organization
- Onboarding for New Employees:
- We offer onboarding sessions that cover all these elements, ensuring new employees understand our strategy and direction.
Through these services we continously learn and iterate to improve on both the servies, and our operation as a whole.
